Reading was a huge priority of mine this year, and a hobby I plan to continue into 2022 as well. I typically read non fiction books, but this year I also got into reading fiction! I actually ended up reading a LOT of fiction books, and loved it.
All of the books I read are listed and linked below to Amazon (affiliate links – thank you in advance for using my links!!). BUT I did get all of these from my local library, so you may not need to purchase any at all! My library also has tons of free ebooks and audio books as well. If you prefer to read that way check and see if your library does too! Hoopla and Libby are 2 apps I use for this, as well as Kindle!

41 books! I’m kind of in disbelief when I look at that list! Some of them are design books, so granted those contain a lot of pictures and less words, but still – this is more books than I have ever read! I remember the last 2 years setting the goal to read one book a month, and not hitting it the first year. I also got back into fiction this year thanks to our trip to Cancun without the kids!
Another thing that I think factored in to reading so many books was the social media break I took this year. I took the summer off of social media, and picked up books instead. And on the whole this year you’ve probably noticed (or maybe you haven’t because you have your own life!) that I haven’t posted nearly as much on my Instagram account. It just hasn’t felt right or like a huge priority I need to be feeding – which is a story for another post.
But ANYWAY – hopefully you can get some recommendations from this list for your own reading! And send me your rec’s as well to add to my list for next year!
