Well happy December 1st and the start of Blogmas! We have all of our Christmas decor up and Fisbee the elf came back this morning. The boys were both excited to see him, but then Elijah told me that Fisbee was not alive because his eyes weren’t moving. And that he was an elf and couldn’t go up the stairs. Oh boy this kid is too smart for my own good!
What is Blogmas?
Have you heard of Blogmas (or maybe you’ve heard vlogmas)? It’s basically a commitment from me to post a new blog post every day from now until Christmas. I thought this would be a fun way to get me writing more and to give you guys some fun content to read this month in light of all of the craziness that’s in the world right now. Not that you typically hear this stuff from me anyway on here, but there will be no talk of politics or the bug that shall not be named. Just light hearted stuff like Christmas decorations, activities, gift ideas, etc, etc.
I figured I would start the month with a little mini introduction just in case you are new around here!
I am Stephanie. I am married to my college sweetheart and we have 2 toddler boys. We currently live in Denver, Colorado, but I was born and raised in Phoenix and he was born and raised in Los Angeles, and we spent 8 years in Albuquerque, NM for our jobs as air traffic controllers. I actually quit my job September 2019 to stay home with the kids and find something that would allow me more flexibility in my schedule.
I love interior design and fashion. I am actually a certified interior decorator and have loved decorating my entire life. As a kid, I would draw out my room and kitchen and change the furniture placement or cabinet and wall colors.
I haven’t done a whole lot of professional decorating yet, but I would love to start doing some more decorating in the future!
I love being a boy mom, but there are days where I am not sure that I am cut out for it! The constant wrestling, potty talk, jumping off of things, and destruction make my head spin (as I’m writing this from our basement, I heard something bang its way down the stairs up there…), but the hugs and the laughs make it all more than worth while.
Well that’s a little bit about me! I would love to learn a little more about you as we start this month of posts for Blogmas!
