I’ve got another little mood board for you this week! If you didn’t catch the last one I’ll link it here! This time I’m making over a living room! With this room I mixed glam traditional and mid century styling.

Jewel toned rug // natural fiber rug // sofa // chair // large end table // small end table // pouf // lamp // hands art // barn art // gold pillow // turkey pillow // lumbar pillow // throw blanket

The first piece I chose for the room was this rug. I love the jewel tones.
I chose this natural fiber rug to layer under it. It felt a little more modern to me doing this. This can also be a way to stretch your budget and change the look of a room. Layer a larger basic rug with a smaller more detailed rug. The basic one will usually be cheaper and you can switch out the more ornate one as you want to redecorate the room.
I love the traditional, yet still simple lines of the sofa here.
These chairs are a little pricier, but soo pretty!
I chose the gold end table because of it’s simplicity in shape and the gold adds that touch of glam. It is also big enough to be useful. You could decorate it and still set a drink and a book down on it. The smaller table is a little more fancy with the marble top and I love it next to the chairs.
With the pillows and throw blanket I wanted to bring out the jewel tones of the rug. And how fun is the little turkey pillow?
I fell in love with the barn sunrise art. I love a sunrise, and it just contained all the right colors. This would go over the sofa.
The hands art is another touch of modern whimsy. This would go over the fireplace.
Poufs are my favorite. I just love the way they look in a room. They are a way to add visual interest and extra seating without a lot of space. I do actually have this one in the black and white color and I love it!
That’s it for this room! Thanks for reading and let me know what you think in the comments! Do you like to add some color to your decor or do you keep it 100% nuetral?
