Spring is here and those warmer temps are headed for us! I love this time of year! This is the time of year where a T-Shirt becomes a staple part of my wardrobe. It can be worn on it’s own with jeans or shorts, or under cardigans, denim jackets, or with skirts or over dresses! It really is a staple closet item!
I set out to find the perfect t-shirt. I tried on sever different shirts from several different retailers. I kept them all pretty budget friendly and they range from $4.88 – $19.50.
Here is what I found! All of the tees are linked underneath the photo as well as at the bottom of the post! Also be sure to check out my Instagram stories for a try on of all of these! It’s up today and also saved to highlights!

Ok I’m starting lowest price to highest price

First up is this one from Walmart. It comes in a 2 pack for $9.76. I got a size Medium which is why it looks a little over sized. I actually like this a lot! Decent quality, not too low of a v neck. These are currently out of stock in size small, but these here look like the same thing and come in size xs -xxxl.

Hanes basic white t-shirt. Not a bad tee but mine came with a crooked neck line. $5.50 on Amazon. I’m in size small.

Good ol Target. This one is the Universal Thread brand, $8, size xs. This one is a very good basic, comes in a lot of colors and patterns. You can’t go wrong here.

Another Target brand – A New Day. $9, size small. I personally don’t really like the material of this one as much. It is a little bit nicer for wearing it with work wear, but I don’t really like the stretchy and clingyness of it.

Next, Amazon Daily Ritual. This one is $12, size small. I would not recommend this one, the hem line was weird, really see through, not my favorite.

Amazon Daily Ritual Striped Tee
This striped t-shirt is also from Amazon’s Daily Ritual brand and is $12. I am wearing size small. It’s a good basic. A little more fitted , thinner, but I do like it. Much better than the on above and a striped tee is always a good basic to have as well.

Old Navy is next and there’s 2 here as well. First id their Everywhere tee. This one is $13 and I am in a small (these go on sale frequently). Honestly, not really a fan. Especially compared to the other options here.

The next Old Navy tee is their Luxe tee. $17 size small (these do go on sale frequently). This material is pretty similar to the A New Day tee from Target. I actually have a couple of Luxe tanks and had a tee for a long time that I loved (in size M) but for some reason I’m not loving this one. So maybe size up for a leggings tee in this one?

I love the ideals of this next brand. Everlane is a fair trade company with great sustainability practices. None of their packaging was plastic which I thought was really cool! This tee is pricier at $18. It is the softest of all the tees and has a good fit. It is a little bit on the sheer side though, but overall I liked this one.

Last is Madewell. This was the most expensive at $19.50. I am in size xs. It has the extra detail of a pocket which is cute, plus little slits on the side. Initially I said I would have rather had a size small, but after trying again I think I like the fit of the xs. But if you like a looser fit, the size up in this one!
It was so hard to pick a favorite from these! I think the Madewell tee was my favorite though. A close second would be the Universal Thread one from Target. I also love the Walmart tees, but these are definitely more of a casual tee where as the other two can be dressed up a little easier!
