Coffee is a way of life for me. I try to get enough sleep, but let’s face it I have 2 toddlers now. One’s in our bed, the other one decides he’s not sleeping every once in a while. And honestly, I don’t know that my love for and need for coffee will ever really change as they get older. I recently figured out a recipe for iced lattes that is sooo good! It is totally saving me right now!

Lavender Iced Latte
This recipe uses my Moka pot for espresso, but any espresso will do! It’s also for an iced latte, but you could use the same ratio and just heat your milk too!
1 moka pot
1 oz syrup
3/4 cup milk ( I use unsweetened almond milk)
Ice
Make your Moka pot. The water goes in the bottom section to just below the vent valve. Put your espresso or coffee grounds in the middle section. It is best to use either and espresso here or finely ground coffee. Place grounds in but do not press.

Place your pot over heat, if you have a gas stove the flames should not go over the sides of the pot. For me this is a pretty low heat. You’ll know its done when you hear a hissing or bubbling.

While this is working, pour 1 oz syrup into your glass. Pour milk of choice into glass. You can stir these to combine here or wait until the end.

Pour your coffee on top, and then top with ice!

If you get the reusable starbucks cup that I shared the measurements are in the cup for iced drinks! I fill syrup to the bottom section, and milk to the first line! Top with espresso and add ice!

Here are a few of my other coffee essentials!
Make it
We use this Keurig machine because it is convenient and we drink our coffee at different times throughout the day. I would love one that holds more water, but ours still works just fine.
This white Nespresso is a dream machine of mine, but it is very pricey!
Speaking of Keurig, don’t buy k-cups! Get these reusable k-cups and fill them with your own grounds. The coffee is soooo much better and you reduce so much waste! They even make them for the full carafe!
This little stovetop espresso maker is so cute and works great! I love that I can make esspreso at home!
This stuff also saves you money on going to Starbucks if you don’t want to make your own. It’s espresso and almond milk (and sugar). It’s a little thick, so I thin it out with some almond milk. I personally like mine way better now, but this is good too if you don’t want to make anything!
Pour it
I know coffee is drinkable in any cup, but I love a cute mug!
I love love love my custom Starbucks cup. It’s from an Etsy shop and she has tons of different patterns to choose from and either hot or cold cups. You also can get it customized like mine or choose from one of the listings she has!
Also I these are the ultimate mom cups here! Insulated to keep your coffee hot! One is Yeti and $25, the other is $13
Cream it
Nutpods is the best coffee creamer! It’s dairy free but still thick for those half and half or cream lovers. It’s also unsweetened! They have Vanilla, Hazelnut, and Original flavors year round, and really good holiday flavors around the holidays!
Other favorites –
- Coffee Mate plant based half and half
- Coffee Mate Natural Bliss Almond milk creamer – caramel!
- Calfia Farms creamer (try the peppermint mocha at Christmas time – so good!)
- You can also buy Starbucks syrups at the stores! I think they are around $15 a bottle.
- I love this lavender syrup for coffee and tea!
